Before Your Wedding Day
The process of your wedding photography starts well before the day. We’ll meet so that you can have a look at some images and share ideas in more detail; ask questions and get a feel for the way that I work. Following this we’ll organise a pre-wedding photo shoot. This is really inormal and can happen anywhere from several months before the event to a couple of weeks. Favourite locations to hold them tend to be Southwold or Aldeburgh, although I’ve also worked with clients in London and North Norfolk for their pre-wedding images. How about surprising your fiancé(e) by arranging the pre-wedding shoot in Paris? This session is always informal, often fun and sometimes rather irreverent, but it’s all about getting you used to me taking your picture and building our relationship. (And you get some great pictures out of it as a bonus!)
Your Wedding Day
In one sense what I do on the day is simple, discreet and understated - I take photos that capture the events and emotions of your wedding day and give you beautiful pictures that you will always love. It really is that straightforward. No long zoom lenses, no ‘ballistic nylon belt bags’ and definitely no waistcoats with lots of pockets! I want you and your guests to notice my pictures after the event, not my presence on the day. I want you to revel in the emotion and celebrate the fun of getting married, not spend the day acting as a wedding fashion model at a photo shoot.
Your Package
There are many different ways you can display your wonderful wedding photos. I am happy to provide your pictures however you want them arranged – from luxurious handmade albums to cool panoramic books, from classic framed prints to all your photos on a CD, I will take you through all your options and deliver your photos the way that you want them. I do more and more work with film – people love the ‘tradition’ of it, the slightly pastel colours and the soft the grain of the black and white pictures. But just becuase it’s film doesn’t mean that you can’t have a digital copy for sending to your friends or putting on facebook. Ask me about the film look…
Please feel free to look through my wedding gallery and then contact me to find out more details and get a date in the diary to start the conversation about your wedding.
